Can dogs hike in Whitney Portal (Inyo National Forest)?
Yes Yes. A leashed dog can use the trails.
The Forest Service requires pets to be 'in control' on the Mt. Whitney Trail ( whether Lone Pine Lake is inside the day-permit zone). not yet confirmed
